In celebration of International Women’s Day (belated, of course) and the forthcoming mother's day - March 30, it's my delight to bring to your notice, 12 Nigerian women that have rocked (and are still rocking) our world. They are the trend-setters of their time, who broke new grounds and continue to inspire a new generation of women.

A young teenager was afraid to tell her parents that she is pregnant so she went to great lengths to hide her pregnancy. She had gone to great lengths to hide her changing 5 foot 3 inch, 100 pound body from her parents. The pregnant fourteen-year-old girl from Greenbrier Village, Florida was in labor when she went into the family bathroom and delivered a healthy baby boy weighing 9.5 pounds. America Joins The Search For The Abducted 200 School Girls

The United States of America and Britain have joined the search for the 200 girls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno, by the dreaded Boko Haram sect. Nigerian soldiers had initially claimed that it had rescued all but 18 of the girls. But the school principal, Asabe Kwabura, debunked the military's claim. Also, parents who tried to rescue the children from Sambisa Forest where they are reportedly being kept by Boko Haram had to turn back when they learnt that the sect was heavily armed and that they might lose their lives if they should move further into the forest. But giving the new development, already some critical arrests have been made...
