Delta bursary fraud whistleblower arrested in Lagos & taken to Delta state

According to a report, Ambrose Ezewani, an ex student of the University of Lagos and former President of the National Association of Delta State students, UNILAG chapter, who blew the lid on a systematic student bursary racketing allegedly spearheaded by the Commissioner for Higher Education in Delta state, Mr Hope Eghagha has been handed over to the Delta state Government   Police officers in Sabo Station yesterday afternoon handed him over after the Delta State officials visited to ask for his transfer to Asaba, Delta State where he will be most likely tortured and “tried” for revealing the fraud perpetrated by officials of the state. Ezeanwani was President of the National Association of Delta State Students Union at the University of Lagos. Missing budget: Senate sets up search c’ttee

By Henry Umoru & Joseph Erunke A BUJA — SENATE President, Dr Bukola Saraki, tacitly admitted, yesterday, that the 2016 budget was missing from the National Assembly, when he openly said a search committee set up by the Senate for the missing document would present its report today. File: Buhari during the 2016 budget presentation to the National Assembly. Saraki’s confirmation of the report came just as Vanguard gathered that the search committee quizzed aides of President Muhammadu Buhari in the National Assembly as well as staff of the offices of the clerks to the Senate and House of Representatives, yesterday. Vanguard sources said those interrogated gave useful information to the committee which would be presented to the Senate in plenary today.
