Stoke City player was left out in 2012 to that tournament after the conflict with the coach Stephen Keshi.

Speaking with Guardian, the footballer, who was included in the 30-man provisional squad for 2014 FIFA World Cup and is expected to be listed in the final squad, was quoted saying:

"In the past few years my only regret is that, as I’ve become a better player, I probably would have got more goals for myself and the country but I missed out a bit. I’ve missed a year and a half, missed out on the (Africa Nations) Cup they won, unfortunately... I wish I was part of that (Afcon 2013) squad because I’ve played in 4 Africa Nations and got three bronze medals, never a gold."

It would be recalled that after Osaze apologized to Keshi for dropping critical angry remarks on Twitter, which apology Keshi accepted, no more controversies were surrounding their professional relationships.
