Just 6 months after dragging the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) out of government, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has divided into two in Kaduna state.  Share on Facebook Share on Twitter APC Logo Leadership reports that the new APC group has named itself ‘True APC’. Members of the new faction are said to have been unhappy because the state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, did not do anything in line with the change mantra the party represents. They also accused the governor denying the people of Kaduna the true change they yearn and voted for. EFCC operatives The 27-member task force, which has Ibrahim Magu as a member, spent most part of the day to grill the suspects and asked them to speak up on any aspect of the transactions where their names or those who allegedly fronted for them, appeared. Bayelsa polls: Dickson ahead, wins in 4 LGs

By Samuel Oyadongha & Emem Idio YENAGOA—WITH official results from five of the eight local councils, Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, emerged as the front runner in the Bayelsa State Governorship election having scored 81,929 votes. He is closely being pursued by the All Progressives Congress, APC, standard bearer and immediate past governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva, who got 56,514 votes. So far, results from 28 polling units in the five councils were cancelled due to electoral skirmishes, over-voting, malfunctioning card readers and violence. BAYELSA POLLS RESULT While Dickson won in four of the five councils, Sylva had the upper hand in the battle for Brass, his local council.
