14-Year Old Girl Murdered By Another 14-Year-Old Girl

14-year-old Endia Martin's life has been cut short after she was killed on Monday April 28th by another 14-year-old girl following a Facebook argument over a boy. Endia Martin, 14-year-old shot to death The incident occurred in West Garfield Boulevard, Chicago around 4:30 p.m on Monday when Endia Martin, who was walking home from school was approached by the other girl who pulled out a gun and opened fire. The victim who was hit in the back died on the spot, was pronounced dead after she was rushed to University of Chicago's Hospital. According to the Chicago police:     "What would have been, under any other circumstance, probably a fistfight between 14-year-old girls, because they were fighting over a boy, turned into a murder. A 31-year-old man who deliberately infected his girlfriend with HIV has been charged with criminal transmission of HIV. Johanson Little, from Chicago who dated his victim for a year from June 2012 until June 2013 had apparently lied to her about his status and also told her that his late wife died of ovarian cancer when she actually died of AIDS. His ex-girlfriend, who went for a HIV test, eight months after their relationship ended after finding out from his late wife's family the cause of her death tested positive for HIV. Upon discovering this information, the victim confronted Little, who had been HIV positive since 2003, according to prosecutors who then confessed that he was aware of his HIV positive status when they had sex. Abducted School Girls: Military Begs Nigerians For Prayers

The military has called on Nigerians to pray for the successful release of the schoolgirls who were abducted by Boko Haram from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State during a night raid over two weeks ago. The military spokesperson speaking during an interview said though they cannot disclose details of all their actions, they are working hard to secure the girls release and Nigerians should pray that the outcome of all their efforts yield positive results. He explained that no information gotten about the missing girls is being ignored but rather they are being duly analysed and acted upon accordingly. Enugu Government Confiscates Aero Helicopter For Wrong Landing

An helicopter belonging to Aero Contractors was on Tuesday seized by the Enugu State government for landing at the Governor’s Lodge without approval. A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity said the incident cause panic at the government house as workers scamper for safety on sighting the helicopter. He said security operatives attached to the Government House quickly cordoned off the area and apprehended the pilots. When contacted, Chukwudi Achife, the chief press secretary to the state Governor, Sullivan Chime, confirmed the incident. He said that the incident occurred at about 10.30am when workers were already in their offices. Mysterious Fetish Pot Appears Near Government House In Benue

There was panic among staff and security personnel on Tuesday after a mysterious pot containing fetish things was spotted at the Benue State Government House roundabout in Makurdi. According to sources, the pot which contained palm oil, pork meat and something that looked like red kola nut was seen as early as 4am and it is believed it may have been dropped there during the wee hours. When news of the mysterious pot got to the government house, most of the staff were said to have locked themselves in, the governor’s personal aides reportedly refused to come out of their offices. Even security men attached to the government house moved away from their original spot on sighting the pot. Why the pot was deposited at that spot or who deposited it is yet unknown It is not clear if the pot has anything to do with politics but people are already insinuating it may not be unconnected to the governorship race in the state for the 2015 general elections.

NSCDC Rescues Man Accused Of Stealing Goats From Mob

Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) operating in Jigawa State, on Wednesday said it rescued a 35-year-old man (nameswithheld) accused of stealing 11 goats from being lynched by angry mob. Muhammad Gidado, the agency's state commandant, who made this known to journalists in Dutse, said that the suspect has been arrested and detained pending investigation. Gidado said that the incident took place at Jaruwa village in Jahun Local Government Area of the state. According to him, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly stole the goats belonging to Malam Sulaiman Adamu. the state commandant said that the matter was reported to officers of the command operating in the area by some residents of the village, adding that the suspect was rescued from the mob who said they caught him while taking the goats out of the village. A 30-year old house wife, Mrs Chizoba Ejike, has been charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, western Nigeria for allegedly biting off her neighbour’s ear and swallowing it in anger. The victim, Mrs. Ndid Eze, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, but the chopped off portion of her ear could not be recovered as it had been allegedly swallowed by the suspect. According to their neighbours, the suspect committed the offence while fighting the victim at their residence at 20, Brinfalami Street, Ejigbo, Lagos State. Most of the 234 Borno schoolgirls in Boko Haram captivity, according to a report on DailyTrust, have allegedly been ferried abroad to Chad and Cameroon after they were married off to sect members on N2,000 bride price each. The female students were taken from their hostels at the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok on the night of April 14. About 40 had escaped in the days after the incident, but parents and school authorities said at least 234 of them were yet to be found. Dr. Pogu Chibok, who is the leader of the Chibok Elders Forum, told Daily Trust yesterday that latest information available to them indicates that most of the girls have been taken to the neighboring Cameroon and Chad by their captors. 18-year-old Ana Rosa Mora (pictured above) has been arrested for killing her own child because the the new born looked like her ex-boyfriend. Ana wrapped her baby in a bag and left him outside to die because she feared the child looked like her ex-boyfriend and her current boyfriend would leave her. The Chicago Tribune reports that the teen gave birth last weekend and attended school on Monday after allegedly committing the act and even showed staff members pictures of a newborn girl that she claimed she downloaded from the Internet. Authorities of the Nigerian Police Force at the weekend withdrew the police officers attached to the Adamawa State Government House. Governor Murtala Nyako, who confirmed this to newsmen on Sunday, said he was yet to be officially informed why the police officers were withdrawn. It was gathered that the number of security operative attached to the government house was reduced from 170 to 30 in the past few days. Fire Destroys Access Bank, Factory, Others In Lagos

    Several houses and companies were over the weekend engulfed in fire in different areas of Lagos. According to the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Razaq Fadipe, his agency was busy all through the weekend as they  responded to no fewer than 10 fire cases between Saturday and Sunday. He said they put out seven fires on Saturday and four on Sunday. At about 10.35am on Sunday, there was fire outbreak at an apartment building in Ozolua Staff Quarters, the University of Lagos UNILAG which was caused by an electricity surge. A branch of Access Bank at Ojo Alaba was razed by fire on Sunday. Firemen were said to have spent over four hours at the scene. “Around 12.05, we received a distress call that there was a fire outbreak at Access Bank. Indeed, investigations revealed that the budget for the CBN governor’s aircraft charter was adjusted twice in the year with a proviso for further expenses which are being investigated. Documents already in the possession of government investigators confirmed that while the sum of ₦800 million was initially approved in the CBN Governor’s Department Travels vote head for 2013, it was adjusted with additional ₦400 million in August and another ₦74 million in December of that year. Nasarawa Judge Sentences Teen To Jail Then Pays N700 Fine For Him

A judge of Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, Karu LGA of Nasarawa State sentenced an 18-year-old teenager to four years of imprisonment, but then changed his mind, showed mercy and even paid a fine on behalf of the convict. The Presiding Judge, Mr Albert Maga, sentenced the resident of Aso, Mararaba, Victor Emmanuel, to jail for criminal trespass and theft of a Blackberry Curve 7 cell phone. He also gave an option of N700 fine to the young labourer, who pleaded guilty and begged the court for leniency. In a surprising development, the judge displayed his big heart, paid the fine for the accused and urged him to repent and get close to God. It would be recalled that Victor stole Blackberry cell phone on April 13, 2014, from a hotel room, while its owner was asleep. The convict was later arrested with the cell phone in Aso Pada by the police on April 16, 2014.

A 23-year-old musician, Mayowa Akinbowale has been arrested and charged to the court for allegedly demanding the blood of a cow that was slaughtered at a wedding. He was arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in the Abule Egba area of Lagos state on a three count charge of attempting to commit felony, causing a breach of peace and being in possession of charms. According to the prosecutor, Inspector Rachael Williams, the accused committed the offence on April 11 on  Shemboye Oladunni Street., Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos State.
