This year 2013, marks the 7th anniversary of Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa's labour of love & sweat. It's none other than the brand known to all as Mode Men. Undoubtedly one of the best packaged men's magazine in Nigeria. That the brand is still existing in a country like ours that most often does not support non-criminal and good initiative has been by the grace of God.

So to show to the world, that it has been God all this while, the 7th anniversary edition of the magazine was dedicated to God. A form of thank you for thus far yet he has blessed the brand.

To also mark the 7th anniversary of the brand, the publisher's of the magazine like they usually do had their annual ''Black Night gathering. This year's edition was tagged ''Black Night 7, and venue of choice was the compact hall of the Radisson Blu Hotel, on Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Unlike how they normally do the event, this particular one was a more intimate, much smaller event, that had only 60 of the friends and supporters and sponsors of the brand in attendance.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Major-General Garba Wahab, at the weekend said the media should not eulogize criminals as the Division has arrested a suspected orange seller who spied for terrorists and over N600 million was found in his bank account within three months. Stop JTF’s invasion of Bayelsa communities, activist tells Jonathan

An Ijaw youth activist has condemned the recent invasion of Azuzuama and Lobia communities in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State by operatives of the Joint Military Task Force, JTF. The activist, Udengs Eradiri, also called on President Goodluck Jonathan to prevail on JTF to stop further invasion of Ijaw communities. Eradiri implored the President not to allow a repeat of what happened in Odi also in Bayelsa State in 1999, where the entire community was razed by soldiers. He recalled that during the Odi invation men and women were killed, houses were destroyed, but none of the perpetrators was apprehended.
